A compilation EP called Tiger Stripes Forever appears to have been released on 4-30-96. It was released on a 10" record on Undercover Records and has six bands doing cover songs. Elliott produced the song done by Jr. High (his friend Sean Croghan was in this band). I don't know anything about when that song was recorded or much additional info other than Elliott being credited on the back cover as seen below.  Photos of a promo cassette  exist on Discogs. The front of the cassette packaging states the release  date of April 30, 1996. So that's where I'm getting that info but I'm not 100% sure if that really ended up as the exact release date.
