Heatmiser played at The Tavern on 2/23/90. This was the Hampshire College, pre-Portland version of the band. According to a 2022 Instagram post by the "heatmiser_archv" account, this was probably the second Heatmiser show at Hampshire. They were a five piece band and played only covers. The band was Elliott Smith, Neil Gust, Jason Hornick, someone named Nolfi, and a drummer named Billy. According to the Instagram comments, Billy was later replaced by someone named Zeb. The Heatmiser IG account states that "Surprise Truck" by Camper Van Beethoven was a favorite of theirs to cover and that they also covered "Waiting for the End of the World" by Elvis Costello and "Marquee Moon" by Television. But I'm not sure if those were specifically played at this show or just ones that they covered in general. The Instagram post and some of the comments can be seen below. I think this was a venue on the college campus but I'm not 100% sure. A band called S.W.A.T. is also listed on the flyer.
The flyer below was posted on Twitter by Kevin Moyer, I don't know who designed the flyer but I believe it may have been Carl Germann as he is thanked in the comments of the Instagram post.
