Tracklisting:
Division Day
No Name #6
Release Date: 1997 for 7", 2000 for CD
USA 7" [Suicide Squeeze S005]
This is one of two variations of the original Division Day 7" on Suicide Squeeze (see entry below for the other version). It comes in a fold out sleeve. Unlike some of the previous 7" singles, the inside of the sleeve is blank and doesn't have lyrics or anything. This pressing is almost idential to the entry below this one. However, this record has the catalog number listed on the labels as S005 (the entry below lists the catalog number as S-005). This version has the song title printed a little bigger than the other version. And the "side A 45 RPM S005" section of the label is printed less bold than the other one. Matrix info according to Discogs:
- Matrix / Runout (Side A, Etched): S-005-A L-48745
- Matrix / Runout (Side B, Etched): S-005-B L-48745-X
- Matrix / Runout (Side A, Stamped): SAE MASTERING

USA 7" [Suicide Squeeze S-005]
This is the second variation of the original 7" pressing. The main difference is that the catalog number is listed on the record labels as S-005 (as opposed to S005 on the entry above). The song titles on the record labels are also smaller than the other version. And the info with the side, speed, and catalog number on the labels is bolder than the version above. See photos below for all the differences on the labels. Everything else seems to be identical. Matrix info according to Discogs:
- Matrix / Runout (Side A, Etched): S-005-A L-48745
- Matrix / Runout (Side B, Etched): S-005-B L-48745-X
- Matrix / Runout (Side A, Stamped): SAE MASTERING

USA 7" [Suicide Squeeze S005; 2015 clear vinyl reissue]
This was the first reissue of this 7" since the original in 1997. This pressing was limited to 1,000 copies. The packaging as far as the sleeve goes is basically identical to the original. The record obviously differs from the original in that this one is clear vinyl. Also, the labels on the records are a much different style. There is also a small center hole as opposed to the large hole of the original. Matrix info according to Discogs:
- Matrix / Runout (Side A [Hand Etched]): S-005-RE-A ⓤ CJH
- Matrix / Runout (Side B [Hand Etched]): S-005-RE-B ⓤ CJH
- Matrix / Runout (Side A & B [Stamped]): Welcome to 1979

USA 7" Test Pressing [Suicide Squeeze S005; 2015 clear vinyl reissue]
This is the test pressing for the clear vinyl reissue 7" of Division Day. Even though the commercial pressing is clear vinyl, this test pressing is black vinyl. It comes in a plain sleeve, no artwork. The labels on the record have the logo for the United pressing plant, their address and notations of side A and B. The A-side also says "Test Pressing" on it (see photos). Matrix info taken from the record:
Side A: S-005-RE-A CJH Welcome to 1979
Side B: S-005-RE-B CJH Welcome to 1979
USA 7" [Suicide Squeeze S005; 2018 tri-color vinyl reissue]
Division Day was reissued again by Suicide Squeeze in 2018. This pressing was limited to 1,000 copies. Again the sleeve appears to be exactly the same as the original. This time the vinyl was a tri-color vinyl (see photos). Matrix info according to Discogs:
- Matrix / Runout (Side A, stamped): PIRATE PRESS SSQ005-A 167980H1/A
- Matrix / Runout (Side B, stamped): PIRATE PRESS SSQ005-B 167980H2/B

USA 7" Test Pressing [Suicide Squeeze S005; 2018 tri-color vinyl reissue]
This is a test pressing for the tri-color vinyl pressing listed above. The test pressing is on black vinyl. Unlike the 2015 test pressing that used the United pressing plant, this one used Pirates Press (see photo). Discogs states that this was sold on the Suicide Squeeze website. Matrix info according to Discogs:
- Matrix / Runout (Side A, Stamped): PIRATE PRESS SSQ005-A 167980H1/A
- Matrix / Runout (Side B, Stamped): PIRATE PRESS SSQ005-B 167980H2/B

USA 7" [Suicide Squeeze S005; 2021 half and half splatter vinyl reissue]
Division Day was reissued again by Suicide Squeeze in 2021. This pressing was limited to 1,000 copies. Again the sleeve appears to be exactly the same as the original. This time the vinyl was a half and half splatter (see photos). Matrix info according to Discogs:
- Matrix / Runout (Side A): 167980H1/A PIRATES PRESS - SSQ005 A
- Matrix / Runout (Side B): 167980H2/B PIRATES PRESS - SSQ005 B

USA CD [Suicide Squeeze S005CD; barcode begins with 7, 2000 reissue]
Besides the 7", Division Day was also released as a CD single by Suicide Squeeze. However, the CD version wasn't released until 2000. There are two very similar pressings of the CD but they have a few minor differences. This is the one with the barcode that begins with a 7. The artwork is basically the same as the 7" but adapted to slimline CD case format. Other than the barcode being different than the other CD pressing, the main difference is that this pressing says "Nail Distribution & Duplication" on the foldover part of the artwork (see photo). The pressing whose entry is below does not say this. Matrix info according to Discogs:
- Barcode: 7 51937 13332 2
- Matrix / Runout: UDA-SNA-7609030 NAIL DUPE.INC.888.624.5462
- Mastering SID Code: IFPI SA25

USA CD [Suicide Squeeze S005CD; barcode begins with 8, 2000 reissue]
One of two similar but slightly different CD pressings of Division Day, along with the entry above. Although the 7" single came out in 1997, the CD didn't come out until 2000. This pressing has a different barcode than the one above, this barcode starts with 8. Also some different info on the matrix numbers. The most recognizable difference is that this one does not say "Nail Distribution & Duplication" on the artwork as the pressing above does. Matrix info according to Discogs (only barcode listed):
Barcode: 803238000527

Canada CD [Suicide Squeeze S005CD]
This CD is very similar to the US CD listed above that has a barcode beginning with 8. Besides having the same barcode as that particular US pressing, it also is missing the "Nail Distribution & Duplication" text on the artwork, which does appear on the US CD that has a barcode beginning with 7. This one differs from the US CD with barcode 8 in two ways. First, the jewel case has a "Made in Canada" sticker on it. Second, the matrix on the CD says "Made in Canada by Americ Disc". This matrix is probably the best way to identify a copy from Canada since jewel cases can get switched or stickers can come off jewel cases. Presumably this came out in 2000 when the other CD single versions were released. Barcode and matrix info taken from Discogs:
- Barcode: 8 03238 00052 7
- Matrix / Runout: 0BCX8<0241>S005CD MADE IN CANADA BY AMERIC DISC
- Mastering SID Code: IFPI L489
