According to the back cover of the original 7", Elliott Smith and Pete Krebs recorded Shytown and No Confidence Man on 8/14/94 at Sam and Janet's house.
The back cover also states that "Pete and Elliott played guitars, cymbal, drum, piano, harmonica, housekeys, freak-out godzilla head, and we both sang".
The back cover says Shytown by Pete, No Confidence Man by Elliott.
The insert says that the art is by Chanda Helzer for the original pressing. Artwork by Jesse LeDoux for the reissue.

USA 7" [Slo-Mo SM001]
This is the original pressing from 1994 of this 7" where Elliott and Pete play together on one of Pete's songs and one of Elliott's songs. It comes with an insert containing lyrics and photos. According to the insert, the artwork was done by Chanda Helzer. It was the only pressing of this record until 2016 reissues on Suicide Squeeze. Matrix info according to Discogs:

USA 7" [Suicide Squeeze S144; 2016 reissue blue marble vinyl]
Suicide Squeeze reissued the 1994 Shytown/No Confidence Man 7" in 2016 on both blue marble vinyl and orange marble vinyl. The cover for this reissue is also different than the original cover. This blue marble version was limited to 500 copies. It includes an insert with lyrics and pictures and also an mp3 code. Artwork by Jesse LeDoux. Matrix info according to Discogs:

USA 7" Test Pressing [Suicide Squeeze S144; 2016 reissue]
This is a test pressing for the 2016 reissue listed above (for both the blue marble and orange marble). The test pressing is on black vinyl. It was made at the Erika Records pressing plant and came in a plain white sleeve. Other than the matrix numbers (and playing the record), there's no other way to tell which record this is. Matrix numbers are the same as the commercially sold versions:
