Elliott Smith's second album was released on 7-21-95 and Elliott also looked to play a not well documented show on that date too. More details on each below.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Elliott's second album, which was called Elliott Smith, was released on 7-21-95 by Kill Rock Stars. It was released on both vinyl and CD. It has since been reissued many times (including on Domino and other labels in the UK and Europe). Please see below for photos of some of the pressings. Most of the different reissues on colored vinyl, etc. do not have their own pages on this timeline. However, the 2020 deluxe edition does have its own page since it came with a book and a live recording.
From the liner notes of the album:
- Songs by Elliott Smith
- Recorded Jan/Feb '95 at Leslie Uppinghouse's house except "Needle in the Hay" and "Alphabet Town" Sept. '94 at Tony Lash's house
- Mixed with much help from Tony and Leslie at Tony's house
- Neil Gust goes electric on "Single File"
- Rebecca Gates sings harmony on "St. Ides Heaven" courtesy Sub Pop Records
- Cover photos by JJ Gonson
- Inset photo by Neil
- Thanks Sean, Garrick, Slim, Joanna, Neil, Jason, JJ, Pete, Mary Lou, Sam, Gilly, Janet, Margaret, Gab, Tony, Leslie, Rebecca, Moira, "gonna put the wraps on ya" Arik
For more photos and information on different pressings, please see the Elliott Smith page of the discography.
The ad below from Escargot zine was designed by Dan Haugh (mr.dan.haugh on IG). I don't know who designed the one from Puncture. The Puncture review (in two parts because it was on two pages) was by Alyssa Isenstein.

According to a list of shows that I was given by a reliable source, Elliott also played a show on 7-21-95 at Fez in New York, NY. The list says that Phranc, Mary Lou Lord, and John Kessel also played at the show and that it was part of the Macintosh New York Music Festival. If you have any more information on this show, please let me know!
