Based on information from several sources that was compiled by Alphabet Town/Eddie Brock, Elliott recorded some songs in September 1994 at Tony Lash's house.
Among the songs recorded were Needle in the Hay, Alphabet Town, Whatever (Folk Song in C), Some Song, and Unknown (Instrumental). Some of these were released on the self-titled album while others were b-sides or later came out on New Moon, Heaven Adores You, etc.
