Elliott played a show in Rhode Island and the Spinanes album called Strand was released on 2/27/96. Details on both are below.

​Elliott played at Mill House in Providence, RI on 2-27-96. This was part of the tour he was on with The Softies. If you have any more info, flyers, etc. on this show, please let me know. (a list of shows from a reliable source has an alternate spelling/name of the venue as  Milhous Collective and that it was at Brown University).

Also on 2/27/96, The Portland band The Spinanes released their album titled Strand. Elliott sang backing vocals on two songs, Madding and For No One Else. According to Rebecca Gates of The Spinanes, these songs were recorded in Fall 1995.  Please see the   entry I made for the recording sessions here.  The album was released by Sub Pop Records. It came out on vinyl and CD as well as an advance promo CD.
